The Incas
The Inca civilization was one of the largest empires in pre-Columbian America. It was centered in Peru and its territory extended into Ecuador, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, and parts of Colombia. The Inca Empire reached its peak during the reign of Pachacuti (1438–1471), who united the various tribes of the Andes region into an empire. The city of Machu Picchu today is one of the 7 Wonders of the World!
