Pinturicchio was not appreciated by Giorgio Vasari and this bad rep continued to follow him until modern times. But he is one of my favourite painters so I am happy to present one of his absolute masterpieces: the Libreria Piccolomini in the cathedral in Siena where he tells us about the life of Pope Pius II alias Enea Silvio Piccolomini

These presentations wish to present one single Fresco cycle of one single Master and give an indepth description including story, style and techniques.
