The Rock of Cashel is Ireland’s most important medieval site on 300ft of rock dating back to the 4th century it’s set on a dramatic outcrop of limestone in the golden vale of Tipperary, its iconic in its historical significance and possesses the most impressive cluster of medieval buildings in Ireland, among the monuments to be found here is a High cross, a Romanesque Chapel, a gothic Cathedral, an abbey, the hall of the vicars Choral and an early 12th century Tower house and much more, it also contains Ireland’s oldest graveyard.
