Spanning over 1,500 acres, the park is a harmonious blend of nature and artistry, with winding pathways, serene ponds, and classical pavilions that seem to emerge naturally from the surroundings. Designed by Charles Cameron and later expanded by Maria Feodorovna herself, the park reflects a Romantic vision of the natural world, with carefully placed statues, bridges, and vistas offering picturesque views at every turn. Visitors can wander through the lush groves, cross the iconic “Centaur Bridge,” and pause by the Temple of Friendship, all while soaking in the tranquil beauty that once served as a retreat for the Romanovs.
