The Iliad is an epic poem written by the Greek poet, Homer in the 8 th century BC. One of the oldest extant works of literature, it is regarded as the first substantial piece of European literature that has been widely read from the day it was written until today. It was used as a textbook in the ancient Greek world and played a crucial role for the development of not only the Greek culture but also of the Western civilization.
This tour invites you to join a survey of the legendary site of Troia, where the epic says Achilles perished and Odysseus fooled the Trojans.
