Description
What was life like for the earliest inhabitants of the place we now call Scotland? What can shellfish tell us about life on Scottish islands thousands of years before farming? Why were ancient people so compelled to erect standing stones?
This tour takes in Scotland’s most enigmatic Stone Age sites, and illuminates the lives of the people who built them. From the famous Skara Brae, on the Orkney mainland, to Scotland’s own ‘valley of the kings’ in Argyll, we’ll look at how archaeologists piece together the evidence left to us as by societies over 5000 years ago, and the stories their remains let us tell about them.
We believe knowledge must be FREE, available to everyone. Just get your Free pass and ENJOY!
