Marianne North was an intrepid Victorian artist-explorer who traveled to fifteen countries – often alone – to paint plants in their natural settings. We follow her footsteps and look over her shoulder as she paints her bright, bold images of flowers and vines, including many unknown specimens. We then make a stop in London to tour the Marianne North Gallery at Kew Gardens, where over 800 of her paintings hang today.
