You’ll be able to see ever-turning pieces of the writer’s mind. His face is only there for a moment or two before disintegrating again once the layers begin to twist Created by artist David Černý. The giant bust is composed of 42 different layers that rotate individually. Each layer is mechanized, using gears inspired by traditional Czech clockwork. The patterns in which the layers twist are reprogrammable, meaning they can be entirely randomized, or completely orderly.
What looks like a suicide in progress is actually a statue of Sigmund Freud. “Hanging Man” portrays a 220-centimeter Sigmund Freud hanging by one hand onto a roof. Come to hear the hints behind this symbol.
The Church of St Martin in the Wall has been preserved as a nearly intact medieval work, as a rare example of valuable Romanesque and Gothic architecture. In the 13th century it adjoined the castle wall of Prague’s Old Town. That is the reason why it is called “in the wall”.
You will see the art piece of sexual education in the hidden courtyard and we will finish the tour near the magnificent astronomical clock.
