Powerscourt House and Gardens is set in the wild Wicklow countryside overlooking the Sugarloaf mountain, the gardens stretch over 47 acres and offer magnificent views of the surrounding countryside. Powerscourt Estate has been home to only 2 families over the past 400 years. The Slazingers have run Powerscourt since 1961 and before that the Wingfield lived here from 1603. Today the estate receives over one million visitors annually and is one of Ireland’s top ten tourist attractions and is ranked the 3rd most beautiful gardens in the world next to Versailles and the Q gardens.
We will explore the many gardens here including the Herbaceous Border, walled and Rose Garden, Italian Garden and the Japanese gardens along with a wonderful a wonderful tree lined avenue.
