Ávila has one of the best preserved medieval walls in Europe.
Jesùs will start the walk outside the main Gate of Ávila, make his way through the narrow streets to the first Gothic Cathedral in Spain, cover the charming Main Square, passing by some convents, monasteries and palaces, ending the tour by the building where Saint Teresa was born, now transformed into a church.
Let’s talk about the origen of Ávila, the construction of the medieval Wall and about Saint Teresa and one of her best friends, Saint John of the Cross.
