This tour explores the history and urban topography of Istanbul from the antiquity up to present focusing on its historical peninsula, seven hills and waterfront settlements on the Bosphorus. It covers not only examples of the city’s architectural majesty such as the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and the Topkapı Palace but also tells the story of its extraordinarily diverse inhabitants through quirky and entertaining anecdotes.
