Let’s discover the Faberge Museum collection of Saint Petersburg. We are to see the world’s largest collection of Carl Fabergé masterpieces under one roof. A true highlight of the collection are the Imperial Easter eggs created by the House of Carl Faberge for the last two Russian Tsars. The masterpieces were accumulated with 100+ other jewelry works by Malcolm Forbes throughout his life (1919-1990) and then sold by his family to Russia. You’ll learn how Faberge managed to become the official supplier of jewelry to the Russian court and why the aristocracy loved him.
On the first chapter, we saw the collection of the Romanov’s Imperial Easter eggs and talked about the works done by the jewelers that worked around the same period of time. We found out how and why Faberge became the exclusive supplier of the Royal court and what made him stand out in the small market. Let’s see his other creations, such as eggs done for other aristocratic clients, diverse range of unique collectibles and much much more. Also, we will touch upon the subject of other eggs and their whereabouts in the world.
