As Yurdal plays the songs live on oud, Filiz tells their stories through images and history. You will hear melodies that were Turkish, Greek, and Armenian long before anyone thought to ask who they belonged to. It’s a handful of old Istanbul songs, and the many lives they lived across languages, communities, and faiths in old Istanbul.
