We will take you straight through the agave origins and cobblestone streets of this UNESCO World Heritage region. We will explore the iconic town square, uncover the history behind the historic distilleries, and see how a humble desert plant became a global cultural symbol. This live walk highlights a visit to the front courtyard of La Rojeña / Jose Cuervo, the oldest active distillery in Latin America. Standing in this historic courtyard surrounded by traditional stone ovens, barrels, and classic Mexican architecture, you will learn about the artisanal process of crafting tequila—from harvesting the blue agave heart (piña) to traditional cooking and distillation. It’s an authentic look at the history, pride, and craftsmanship that define Mexico’s national drink.
