Description

The historic city of Girona, one of the most interesting in Catalonia, allows you to explore more than two thousand years of history from two fortified enclosures: the Força Vella and the medieval expansion. The first corresponds to the Roman foundation, and the second, to the expansion of the walls during the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries. The many monuments that have survived until today preserve remarkable artistic riches. The attractiveness of Girona is completed with the suggestive Jewish quarter, or call, the beautiful arcaded streets and squares, the exultant baroque spaces and the Noucentista buildings by Rafael Masó.

Recently, Girona is known as the city of the Game of Thrones series due to some episodes that were filmed here. In addition, some films and time series have used this city for their purposes, such as The Perfume film in 2007. Girona is the most important city in Catalonia after Barcelona, a city of legends and stories.
