From Sept 10th, 1943 to June 5th, 1944 the city of Rome knew the German occupation.
During these 268 days, while the Allied Army was locked in a terrible struggle 130 km south of Rome, many Romans raised their heads, fighting the Nazi from their clandestinity.
It’s a story of everyday heroes, poor victims, coward politicians, cruel hierarchs.
It’s the story of the victory of freedom.
