A visit to the Talion Club on Nevsky Avenue, where the home of one of Saint Petersburg’s richest merchant families still dazzles with beautiful halls and elegant salons. Let’s step inside one of the most fascinating houses on Nevsky Avenue — the former mansion of the famous Yeliseev merchant family, today known as the Talion Club. On this virtual visit I’ll take you beyond the elegant façade to see beautiful halls, grand staircases, and richly decorated rooms that once witnessed the glamorous life of imperial Saint Petersburg. The Yeliseevs were among the richest merchants of the Russian Empire, and their home shows both their great wealth and their love of beauty and style. As always on my tours, we will not only admire the interiors but also talk about the people who lived here and the stories hidden inside this remarkable house.
