Description

Join me for a virtual stroll along one of the most lively and elegant sections of Nevsky Avenue. Our walk begins at the majestic Kazan Cathedral, inspired by St Peter’s Basilica in Rome and closely tied to Russian military history. Just across the avenue we will admire the famous Singer Building with its striking glass dome, once the Russian headquarters of the Singer sewing machine company and today home to a beautiful historic bookstore. We will continue to the dazzling Yeliseev Emporium, one of the most luxurious food shops of imperial Russia, known for its theatrical Art Nouveau interior. Nearby stands the Anichkov Palace, long associated with the Romanov family and imperial life in the city. Our walk ends at the Fontanka River, where the elegant Anichkov Bridge and its famous Horse Tamers sculptures mark one of the most recognizable views in Saint Petersburg.

We believe knowledge must be FREE, available to everyone. Just get your Free pass and ENJOY!

Hi, I’m Anna Levina. I’m a licensed tour guide for Saint Petersburg (Russia) and Israel. Though I had to leave my beloved Saint Petersburg because of the political situation, the city is always close to my heart. Today, I live and do in-person and virtual tours in Israel and Georgia, but I continue sharing my love for Saint Petersburg through virtual tours.
