Description

Take a tour of the Babylonian night sky from the comfort of your own home! Babylonian astronomers developed some of the earliest mathematical schemes for predicting the appearances of the stars and planets in the sky. They are also responsible for developing the zodiac that many still use today!  In this virtual tour, you will:
  • Learn about the constellations that Babylonians identified in the night sky
  • Hear some of the myths and stories associated with these shapes and figures
  • Gain an introduction to some of the predictive tools these astronomers developed
  • See what the winter night sky looks like in Babylonia tonight!
