Description
Step into a surreal fairy tale hidden in the heart of Rome, where architecture defies logic and magic feels just around the corner. This exclusive online tour will transport you to the enchanting Coppedé neighborhood—a secret pocket of the city where Greek temples, Gothic arches, Baroque flourishes, medieval towers, and Art Nouveau curves collide in glorious, dreamlike chaos. Wander virtually through this whimsical world where frogs guard fountains, giant chandeliers hang from outdoor arches, and spiders and fairies seem to lurk in the stonework. Discover how this fantastical district came to life under the visionary hand of architect Gino Coppedè—an eccentric genius who crafted not just buildings, but a storybook brought to life. And yes, the legends are true: even the Beatles couldn’t resist its charm and famously splashed around like mischievous boys in the heart of the district—the Fountain of the Frogs. Let yourself be surprised, delighted, and transported. Reserve your spot today and uncover the most surreal corner of Rome without ever leaving your home!
ATTENTION:
⛈️ In case of adverse weather conditions, the walking tour will be canceled and rescheduled without notice.

Professional Tour Guide

Alba S.
Ciao! I'm Alba, a Roman archaeologist and licensed tour guide. Even though I'm Italian through and through, I've spent quite a bit of time living on the East Coast of the US and in England. After snagging a BA in Conservation of Cultural Heritage and not one, but two MAs in Archaeology and History of Architecture, I went all out and got my Ph.D. in Archaeology back in 2015. But you know what? I quickly realized that I'm more into storytelling than hardcore research. So, I ditched the academic life and dove headfirst into guiding tours and educating folks in museums all across central Italy. I'm all about uncovering the hidden gems of Rome and the surrounding areas in Lazio. Sure, the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain are cool, but there's so much more to see! So, join me for some passionate dives into the Great Beauty of Rome. Let's explore its fascinating history and art scene together!
